Integration of Geoportal system with ePUAP services
The Electronic Platform of Public Administration Services provides quick and easy access to information on services and institutions as well as direct access to services provided by public administration organs.
Within the Geoportal 2 Project, a number of services for citizens, entrepreneurs and administraion units has been created. In order to provide the maximum availability of these services, they will be (depending on functional and organizational capabilities) registered in the ePUAP system or use directly the tools and services provided by ePUAP.
The ePUAP system will provide – directly for the Geoportal system and indirectly for thematic systems – value added related to initiating and maintenance of public services, e.g. transferring documents od confirming identity, with the use of the Trusted Profile.
As a result of cooperation with the Geoportal 2 Project, the ePUAP System will offer applications related to geodetic and cartographic requests, requests on data accessibility in the National Geodetic and Cartographic Resource (Państwow Zasób Geodezyjny i Kartograficzny - PZGiK), requests for data from PZGiK, forms related to geodetic and cartographic services as well as enrollment of a spatial data set or service to the register of spatial data sets and services in the Spatial Data Infrastructure (IIP).
The Geoportal system will enable transfer of electronic documents from the ePUAP platform to the National Head of Geodesy as well as from the National Head of Geodesy to their beneficiaries, with the use of Electronic Inbox of the ePUAP System. The system will issue the Official Confirmation of Receipt (Urzędowe Poświadczenie Odbioru).
Integration between the Geoportal system and the ePUAP System will result in higher accessibility of services provided by the former, which usage of mechanisms available within ePUAP will helop to recude expenditures on development of the spatial data infrastructure.
Integration of Geoportal system with products of the ISOK Project
The National Board for Water Management (Krajowy Zarząd Gospodarki Wodnej - KZGW) and the Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography (Główny Urząd Geodezji i Kartografii - GUGiK) act as partners in the ISOK Project – the IT system for protecting the country against extraordinary threats (Informatyczny system osłony kraju przed nadzwyczajnymi zagrożeniami – ISOK).
The Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography will create a Management System for the Numeric Terrain Model (SZNMT) as element of the ISOK Project. The system will be dedicated to managing numeric data, that are of interest to ISOK. These data include:
- a numeric terrain model,
- a numeric model for land coverage,
- measurement data from LIDAR laser scan.
The SZNMT is an element of the National Geodetic and Cartographic Resource, and it is at disposal of GUGiK. Data collected in SZNMT are vital for the crisis management process – especially to anti-flooding activities. The Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography will use SZNMT to manage data sets and use Geoportal system solutions to offer these data to Beneficiaries.
The National Board for Water Management as well as the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, who use the data from SZNMT, will also be using the services provided by the Geoportal system, including:
- searching spatial data,
- browsing spatial data,
- collecting spatial data,
- transferring large data volumes,
- security and monitoring
The Rescue Services' goal is to provide security for citizens. That broad concept includes: Police, Fire Service, Medical Rescue, Regional Centers for Rescue Reporting – all these organizations ore operating under the Rescue Reporting System.
The Geoportal 2 Project prepares dedicated solutions for business needs of the Rescue Services. It is offering application tools and referential spatial data, as well as integration with the systems that manage operating data of these services. All the tools in question are being delivered within the Universal Map Module (UMM).
Implementation of UMM by the Rescue Services will allow to improve effectiveness of their activities relating to saving human lives, private and public property as well as minimizing environmental threats. The tangible effects of implementing UMM will include:
- shorter reaction time of rescue services in case of an event,
- better coordination of their activities,
- support in crisis management planning,
- access to a number of analytic tools, using GIS solutions.
The UMM will ensure support to operational activities of the Rescue Services, by means of:
- Access to referential data – from the National Geodetic and Cartographic Resource;
- Integration between operational data and referential data;
- Access to applications allowing to locate events (e.g. robberies, car accidents), manage fleet of the rescue services thanks to actual and trustworthy information of their location, defining optimal routes for the rescue service vehicles.
Representatives of the Rescue Services participate, together with GUGiK representatives, in design and testing of the application tools.
Until now, applications tools for managing UMM and referential databases have been prepared and implemented in the Geodesy and Cartography Documentation Centre. The next step will include integration of these solutions with operational systems of the Rescue Services.
