The OpenLS geocoding service in the GUGIK profile enables the geographic location to be determined on the basis of the characteristics of the Address Point spatial object in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Administration and Digitization of 9 January 2012 on the register of localities, streets and addresses (numbering). In addition, the response returned by the service contains information enabling the identification instance of the Address Point object stored in the address database kept as part of the National Register of Boundaries by the Surveyor General of Poland.
